Liberals - Content To be Stupid? Not On Your Life
I actually started writing this last week when the polls first turned in McCain's favor (what took so long?), and originally I'd intended it to be about how stupid liberals are in general. But since that time, I've had a real-life example (again), and it's caused me to conclude that my search for the first rational leftist must end. If one exists, he'll just have to find me now.
And in the meantime, I will no longer be as nice as I've been to liberals all these years. So far I've spared them because, well, my mother brought me up right, but she's long dead, and I'd like to bag me a liberal before I go.
So it all started last Saturday night when I happened upon Jake Tapper's blog at ABC. Jake is a fairly straight liberal himself, and that day he was writing about the latest attempt by Barack Obama to characterize Republicans as bigots:

Unbeknownst to me then, new polls had just shown McCain in the lead for the first time. But while I wasn't yet aware of that, the fools who make up the liberal brain-trust had heard, and they were commenting. I pulled the best. I mean, if they amused me, they ought to be plenty good enough for you for a Saturday, right? I think you'll find they are lovely, if misunderstood, scum, and hopefully this will affect your opinion of them as much as it did mine...

If McCain/Palin can blame Obama for the boggers criticizing Palin and her tabloid life, then Obama can cite the rampant muslim rumors which the neo-cons like to cite at every opportunity (and which have indeed crept into the MSM). Get real... all you hear on right-wing talk radio is POOR Sarah, everyones been so meeeean to her, why are they piling on??? As if she deserves a free ride to the white house. Obama's no victim-- he has gone through a powerful gauntlet to get where he is now, and he has my vote and admiration.
McCain is sneaky-- bringing in this unknown person 60 days away from teh elections who has to read from a piece of paper what she's supposed to say-- and all she's done is make pit bull attacks, and not talk about issues.
I want someone focused on my needs as an American. Obama has answered questions I have, McCain has offered me snide remarks and guilt trips about his POW status.

Why not give Obama a shot, hey the republican's always at least in the last 40 years make it worst for the poor and middle class, the Democrates make it better for all, it has been a long study, so even if your Rebublican you still did better under a Democrats.
Just the "moral issues, but if you think about it, now we have very bad lack of morals on tv, and videio games, and such so actually for the last 8 years morals have been loosened.
Hey I am from a democratic family for generations, but I voted for Bush 1.
And a Desert Storm veteran.
And all else asside and all the bitter child like fighting, we as people can not do as we are doing.
It is really medical bills that are killing the economy, and franky immigration, but I have undocumented family members, and I understand them, but something has to be done.
Our payroll taxes are so huge.
Even if you dont like Obama, heck you can vote him out is 4 short years, that is what is great about voting.
I am not an Obama fan but I will vote for him, because frankly we all do better under democratic ran government.
Hey were I am at they took our guns, so maybe Obama will give them back.

WOW. I can't believe that ANYONE would actually vote for a party that supports such rude, condescending behavior. It reminded me of a pep rally...mainly because of the cheer leaders and the fact that everyone has to "talk up" the people running. Have you noticed how many times McCain and Palin had to talk each other up??? And all the others who had to talk them up too??? It was ridiculous. The energy at the DNC was enough to knock you down...and there wasn't any smoke and mirrors like at the RNC. No propaganda. No insults. I'm not calling the Rep's "Bullies" because they are threatening; they're bullies because they are SO INSECURE, so they feel like they need to insult the opposing party. Unfortunately, I failed to copy the username of that last sentient being, and for that, I apologize to anyone who might have wanted to look him... or her... heck, let's just say "it"... up.
What also struck me, and it didn't come through on the comments, was that all of those dopes seemed to know very well who Rick Davis was. If you don't, don't feel badly, neither did I until I heard it from liberals, and it reminded me of a few years ago when we were in my old forum debating who'd be the best candidate for the Republicans in '08. We were debating all the usual suspects when our then resident liberal loon began touting Sam Brownback.
It was like, "Huh?" Not one conservative I know had given Brownback any consideration, but if one liberal was doing just that... well, you know how it goes, they all were! And after we stopped laughing, we ridiculed him soundly.
Although truth be told, the laughing actually interrupted the nonstop ridicule we always heaped on Hal.
Anyway, A few days ago, I was minding my own business, just bashing liberals and praising McCain-Palin as usual, and along comes the latest liberal fool with a new litany which he left behind in an effort to convince me, us, you, he didn't say, that Sarah Palin is not whom she appears to be. But since I no longer do litanies, I deleted it without comment.
This appeared to rankle the new loon, and he posted it again... and again... and again... until I finally blocked him.
That's when most people would just give up, but this turned out to be oe of those a liberal super-loons. He began changing his username to avoid the block, and it wasn't until I notified VOX that it stopped.
But not for long. No, this boy was more industrious than your average liberal nut case (which is to say, all other liberals). So yesterday, while still minding my own business, my friend Zak notified me that someone had duplicated my blog specifically for the purpose of getting the Sarah Chronicles out to the world. Well, I had a look, and he did a right nice job I have to say. In fact, I'm serving notice that no one on VOX has devoted as much time to me as the Lone Rager, so I'm serving notice on the rest of you, HEY, you don't know what you've got till its gone!?!
Anyway, all this would be just slightly flattering were it not for the fact that the only one to take the bait was our resident mega-super loon, Snowy!!!
Snowy didn't just leave a comment, oh no, Snowy was only too thrilled to blog about the fact that I'd come to see the light. now in defense of the lesser liberal loons who responded to Snowy's entry, most weren't as gullible as our Snowblower, but then none of them would have provided the sheer enjoyment Snowy has if they were.
So what are we to take away from all of this?
Well, you already know that there's nothing lower than a liberal unless it's one that's been snowed upon, but more important than that, VOX SUCKS!
After having reported the spamming and the hoax, I've heard from a VOX representative exactly zero times, and the "alternative" Ted still stands - although that's a good thing since you can now enjoy Snowy firsthand.
But I always say that you don't have any real friends until there's a crisis. Everybody's nice when things are going well. And while VOX is deteriorating, it still has the best people I've come across on the Net. Thanks to my friends Zak and Jeff for their efforts, and thanks to you for, if nothing else, reaching this point.
I truly appreciate the terrific people who have made me possible...

I'm both amazed and appreciative that others have taken this more seriously than I have. I mean, I'm usually accused of being the one who makes a huge deal out of the smallest matter.

I don't know what planet these idiots live on, but the evidence suggests the opposite and what they want to attach to Gov. Palin, Obama resembles it a lot more.
Who else chose a crazy preacher and lauded him as mentor and friend Before he threw him under the bus?
Who seeked the help of a terrorist and worked with him, to advance his political career Before he tried to convince we had it all wrong because at the time bombs exploded he was 8 yrs old?
Who made deals with dishonest Rezko Before he claimed he was unaware of shady deals?
Who wants to run on his senatorial record, but omit the part that most of the time he merely voted "present"?
I love how the "freethinkers" are unable to think straight to arrive at a sensible, logical conclusion that Obama is a FRAUD and bad for the country. Whatever they told themselves ain't real!
There are two aspects as I see them. One is the response from people like yourself that I find so heartwarming. I do what i do, and I expect nothing. So when someone cares enough to initiate action on my behalf, that's so much better than getting a laugh or accolades for something. In fact, it amazes me since I go out of my way to alienate as many people as I can.
But the second part is that, as you said, it's amusing... even flattering. I wouldn't feel this way if something was really at stake, but to see someone go to all that trouble is, in its own way, fulfilling, not to mention Snowy's response - the world will little note nor long remember what I will never forget.
In my forum, I used to go out of my way to keep people wondering what I really thought and believed, and it worked so well that several people who knew me as you do, actually thought that I was playing several people in the forum. I wasn't, but the amazing thing was, even after swearing that I wasn't Burt, for example, one guy I knew better than I know you still didn't believe me.
The point is, I had to work to keep people off balance there. here, some nut did the work for me. The only thing I found slightly irritating was that I couldn't delete the other me from the groups I'd joined... er... he had joined. Which reminds me, I gotta start caring more...

I initially read the little snippet of your comment on the main page, and I thought, "The man's a gentleman, though I can't see what need there is to apologize."
However, upon reading your full comment here, I found it just a bit disconcerting. No, I did not think you were responsible. I felt, as you said, that's not your style. But the fact that you thought I might think it was you, well, that gave me pause if only because I would have had to have read your own blog entry about me and come away thinking that you were staging a much more elaborate hoax than merely duplicating my blog.
In other words, I would have to believe a) that you were capable of that, and then b) you were motivated to do something so idiotic that it would ruin any remnant of credibility you may still have left should you be found out.
And wouldn't that then make me at least as stupid as another party to this dialogue?
Now about my enjoyment of the moment... I assure you, if in fact you are correct and I never get another opportunity like this, And between you and me, I wouldn't be so quick to rule that out if I were you, this one will last at least a lifetime.
