Before I get to the moderate Muslim from Malaysia, I want to ask, am I the only one who didn't know that clowns love Muslims?
And they're magical clowns - they come out of the woodwork to defend Muslims every time anyone, anywhere reacts in horror to the latest Islamicatrocity. And like their circus counterparts, they swarm too!
And also like their big top buddies, they take absurdity to new levels.
Now there's a study being done on these clowns to see if, unlike their red-nosed counterparts, they're all Jew haters. I'll bring you the results as soon as they're known.
Anyway, Aput's at it again. Every once in a while, he says something so outrageous that I can't ignore him, though I must say, it arrived late this month. However, he made up for his tardiness by making making his latest outrageous comment super-sized.
Did you know that liberals are Muslims' friends and conservatives aren't? Yes, I know that's a ridiculous belief, but he doesn't.
So what do liberals do to earn that friendship? Near as I can tell, they are vocal about giving Saudi women the right to drive. Liberals haven't actually done anything about it, but that apparently doesn't matter, it's the whine that counts, probably because it reminds him of the Mazda rotary engine that used to lull him to sleep as a small child.
I must confess, I didn't even know that female driving was the central issue in Reformed Islam. I thought it might be freedom to go to school, freedom from beheading, freedom from street beatings, freedom from stonings* for being raped, and not being the honored guest at honor killings?
So I mentioned to A-man that George Bush has freed more Muslim women from this "lesser stuff" than anybody else in modern history, but he's not having any of that. No, it's Saudi women who matter most and getting them mobile that's THE main issue.
As for what George Bush has done, it's apparently irrelevant not just to evil Muslims, but good ones as well. I say that because Aput didn't exactly dismiss the accomplishments of Mr. Bush, as much as he didn't seem to detect them at all.
When I alluded to the seeming fact that freedom to go to school trumps freedom to drive, Aput seemed to respond, "Yeah but those are Afghan women, I'm talking Saudi gals! What's Bush done for them lately?!?"
The answer to that is complex, and I figured if he couldn't grasp the simpler stuff, I better not try to get into the more complex stuff like, for example, that any Muslim woman who's freer anywhere will eventually affect all Muslim women. I don't think he'd see that no matter how hard I tried to get through to him, I guess because Afghan women can't afford automobiles?
But now I must say again that no matter how completely detached from reality Mr. A may be, he still puts the liberals he so cherishes to shame in the reasoning department. That's because he'll read this and actually consider some small parts of it, and even if he doesn't agree, he won't continue to mindlessly repeat the loony things he says that precipitate responses like this.
One day, he may realize that these same liberals with whom he thinks he shares a kinship would be the first to deny him those little luxuries like feet washing when they start to intrude on liberal sensibilities. Right now, Muslims appear to be a liberal cause celebre, but you have no idea how fast they can turn, A-man. Just ask Git-along-home Cindy Sheehan.
I haven't even remotely covered all I'd like to say to Malay A, but he can show me he's listening if he does just one thing:
Aput asked if it was fair to say that Republicans shoot first and talk later, so I'd like to know if he's aware of the children's book titled Clinton and the Aspirin Factory? And if so, would he kindly detail all the opportunities George Bush gave to both the Taliban and Sadie Hussein before he invaded their countries?

I must say that I wrote the above before I read A-Man's comment elsewhere that if Gore had been President, there would be less dead Muslims and the WTC would still be standing, which would have rendered a lesser man than I apoplectic.
What stopped me was the realization that the ignorance is so vast as to leave no doubt that it couldn't be willful.on his part. You know, I read a lot of things that are relevant to Aput and his Muslimation, but I don't forward them because I always believed he was aware of news and developments in the Muslim Milieu far sooner than I am. These recent development will have me rethinking that.
A-man, perhaps you missed it, but if Muslims had their way, the WTC would have been long gone before either Bush or Gore could have become President?
Also, when you talk about the less dead Muslims, I presume you mean there would be fewer dead Muslims, not the same amount but on life support? If so, that's mere speculation, though I would concede that Gore would be less likely to be the one responsible for killing them. However, it's also possible to speculate that if Gore were President, there would be more dead Americans, that Hussein would still be killing his people in numbers we -can't- count, and that Mr. Taliban would still be tallying bananas**.

Membership in the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has declined more than 90 percent since 9/11, reports the Washiington Times. Annual income from dues dropped from $732,765 in 2000 when dues were $25. to $58,750 last year, when they charged $35.
The organization instead is relying on about two dozen individual donors a year to contribute the bulk of the money for CAIR's pork-free $3 mil. budget
Asked about the decline, Parvez Ahmed, CAIR board chairman, pointed to the number of individual donors to the organization:
"We are proud that our grass-roots support in the American Muslim community has allowed CAIR to grow from having eight chapters and offices in 2001 to having 33 today," Mr. Ahmed said.
"Sure the numbers have declined, but the quality is way up, and we firmly believe every member will have his own chapter by 2010," he added.
Don't stare at Muslims and apes.
It causes one group to be sad and withdrawn, while it makes the other irritated and possibly aggressive. Since there's no need to distinguish which is which for any practical purpose, I'll leave it to you to make such determinations on your own, except to say that we may be safer if apes are the group that gets the visas if the reports are true. And I'd also like to note that this is the best practical advice to come out of England since Petula Clark told us: don't sleep in the subway, darlin'.
Joseph Farah asked today, "Is George Bush President of Mexico?" I think a better question is: when is a President not a President? Answer: When he's a Bush.

I'm starting work on a book in which I'll offer my prescription for Iraq based on recommendations of the Iraq Study Group and my own sense of what needs to be done.. The title is: Iraq Rx - How To Talk To A Dead Muslim If You Must.
Long before the first Muslim violence came to our shores, being a renowned neighborhood philosopher, I was educating the woman whom I would eventually marry on the First Rule of Life: Don't marry a Muslim!
And yes, I aways included the exclamation point.
So when the movie, Not Without My Daughter came out, we were both disappointed that Sally Field (and the woman she was playing) hadn't gotten all that was coming to her. As Judge Judy always says, "Hey, you picked him."
Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are a lot of good Muslims, maybe even the vast majority, but there are probably a lot of perfectly nice bushmen too, and well, would you marry one? And if you did, would you be surprised if he reverted to hunting and gathering?
But OK, let's say you've met a lovely Muslim (Ignoring that oxymoron), and you're weak and you marry him. DON'T VISIT THE FAMILY IN ISLAMISTAN! Some stupidity really deserves to be terminal, don't you think? By the way, this problem, for all you feminists and fem-males doesn't exist in the reverse - you know, when normal men marry Muslim women (now there's a book title if ever I heard one). The Muslim wife probably wants to keep the hubby from visiting the Middle East so he doesn't get any ideas.
Just for fun, I gave my wife a call at work before writing this because I needed to ask her a very important question... one that I hadn't asked in fifteen years...
Wife: Ted's wife speaking (OK, she said her name, but I'm not going to tell it to you. Besides, she doesn't want people to know she's married to me, but it has nothing to do with Sharia Law)
Me: Hi, how are things today?
Wife: OK... I'm right in the middle of something...
Me: So make it fast?
Wife: Yeah
Me: What's the number one rule?
Wife <whispering> Don't marry...
Me: Muslims?
Wife: Yeah.
Me: OK, bye
Wife: Bye
So you see guys, it IS possible to get through to some women.
But while we are all aware of the many problems women have in even the most advanced Muslim countries (again excuse the oxymoron), leftists don't decry the persecution of homosexuals in these countries. Why is that? It's not because they're still in the closet, it's because they're in a trunk in a hidden compartment in that closet.
But since there's always no method to my madness, I mention this because I recently read something on this service in which someone was actually defending the six Imams on the plane in Minneapolis, Mini-Muslims if you will, and he was actually chastising the passengers for being too jumpy (Fortunately, none of those passengers were around to see it, but all are still around to see it, if you get my drift).
It seems to me that most of those who defend Muslims always do so on some perceived principle, and often ignore the bigger principles like - the right to life. Additionally, these people are often ill-informed and/or they have tunnel vision, and thus they focus on the narrowest of alleged transgressions and attempt to magnify them into some grand rights violation. Even worse, more often than not, the defenders can't even write a decent sentence, but I'll save that for another time.
Ignoring the fact that it was Muslims who were responsible for bringing about the current environment and the very real nuisance caused by all the security checks, and aside from the fact that Muslims have done virtually nothing to reassure us that they want their more militant faction destroyed, we have these blind left-wingnuts-with-an-apparent-death-wish defending them - defending the very people who, even in their most benign state, would make their clueless defenders less free. It's like:
"We're not free if you're not free, even if we'll be less free if you actually are free."
